Oxy Industries was founded by a pharmacist with a passion for quality and safe food products that are appropriately packaged for the convenience of consumers. The journey began with a simple observation: many food products on the Ghanaian market were not meeting the standards of quality, safety and packaging that consumers deserved. As a pharmacist, he had seen firsthand the importance of proper packaging and handling in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medicines. He realized that the same principles could be applied to food products, and that consumers deserved better. The turning point came when our founder travelled abroad and noticed the stark contrast in food packaging and safety standards between countries. He saw how convenient and safe food products were in some countries, and how lacking they were in Ghana. This experience sparked a desire to make a difference in the food industry in Ghana.
With extensive knowledge of medicines, food safety and regulation, our founder set out to create a company that would provide conveniently and well-packaged, safe, and quality foods for consumers. He started small, conducting extensive research and development to create products that met the highest standards of quality and safety. The response was overwhelming, with consumers appreciating the attention to detail and care that went into each product.
Today, Oxy Industries is a leading food processing and packaging company in Ghana, renowned for our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Founder's Profile
Mr. Enoch Kofi Ampratwum is a visionary entrepreneur, pharmacist by profession, an astute businessman and industrialist by occupation, and a pharmacovigilance expert as well as worker in God's vineyard with a passion for innovation and excellence. He has a strong academic background, with a degree in Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Master's in Health Planning and Management, and several other relevant certificates.
His extensive experience spans both the public and private sectors. He worked at the Food and Drugs Authority of Ghana (FDA) where he rose to the position of Head of Pharmacovigilance (drug safety monitoring) and cosmetics, household chemicals, and medical devices units. He has served and still serves on several company boards and is an adviser to other prominent personalities and institutions. Mr. Ampratwum's entrepreneurial spirit has led to the successful establishment of other companies, including Oxy Farms and Processing Ltd, Oxy Rentals Ltd, and Sparkle Multimedia Ltd (operating as Sunny TV).
Under his visionary leadership, Oxy Industries Ltd (Producers of the ever-popular Sunny Gold brand of products), has grown over the years to gain prominence and global recognition.
